Jeremiah Lee’s (1721-1775) probate inventory contains an entry for Diamond Lee, his value given at 50 pounds, listed among English goods and other warehouse items. A year later, on July 4, 1776, Diamond, called Dimond Lee, is listed in John Glover’s account book for his Marblehead Regiment. Diamond received a knapsack worth 3 shillings. Diamond does not appear on official rolls of the Marblehead Regiment or other regiments.
